my two characters kotler and pavel analysing characteristics
pavel=physical and cloths
- pale and dirty.
- looks as if he has some type of illness.
- mainly wears a white jacket when serving dinner.
- a frail being with little strength and food being consumed
the writer suggests about the people being underneath the appearance that there is more to pavel,the character we are analysing, than meets the eye. a quote that conveys this thought is made him believe that he had worth a beard in the past. this portrays how he was once a free man, knowing that he was a doctor before the war.

the writer is using characterisation to make kotler a patriot to his country’s main belief but also thinks him self superior to smaller and younger people to him self and shows aggression to the Jewish, pavel and those prisoner to the camp. all in all he is a solider who follows orders correctly but has a vile steak
