Task three act 2.1

What do you think the dagger represents?

In the soliloquy of act 2 scene 1 macbeth claims to be seeing a palpable dagger before him “is this a dagger which I see before me”  macbeth comes to the conclusion that the dagger is a hulusination “a false creation proceeding from the heat oppressed brain?” when macbeth reaches out for it he can’t grab it he then believes that his mind is trying to lead him to a different conclusion “though Marshall’sy me the way that I was going” he considers this fonominom, but I don’t think macbeth trusts the vision of the dagger because he says “wither’d murder alarm’d by his sentinel,  the Wolf, whose how’s his watch” I think this means that the sentinel, the Wolf,  would call out to try and revile macbeth,  but the bell rings and macbeth says “I go the bell invites me. hear it not duncan, for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven or hell”so I think this means that macbeth is going to kill the king. therefore I think the dagger represents king duncans death.

Scene 1.7 how dose lady macbeth react to macbeth stating”we will go no further in this business

“we will go no further in this business” this is the quote macbeth says to lady macbeth she replise with “was the hope drunk werein you dress’d yourself?” this quote shows that lady macbeth is adutaded with macbeths acusation as she refers to macbeth as a beast when he asks to kill the king “what beast was’t it then that made you break this enterprise to me?” a point that shows macbeth with his intent to kill he king like a beast ,snake,”if th’assasination could teammle up the conseqence and catch with his surcease, success,”  surcease and success is a siblance and makes it sound like a snake, beast, which links to assassination like an animal, snake,.

Scene sumery 1.7

This scene starts with a soliloquy of macbeth talking to himself, debating weather he should kill the king, “if th’assasination could trammel up the consequence and catch with his surcease, success, that but this blow might be the be-all and the end-all”  lady macbeth then enters and talks about killing the king but macbeth then replies “we will proceed no further in this business” lady macbeth is shocked and argues “what beast was’t then that made you break this enterprise to me?!”.

Fiction 2 journal entire the sperwick chronicles ,author:holly black/tony drizzel

My book (the spiderwick chronicles) has a main character called jared grace accompanied by his brother and sister (Simon and malory) I think jareds character is good because he has an emotional background (father left in a divorce)  and that brings a life like feel to him. jared reacted in self defence against a mythical fairy a browne (thimbletack) but eventually found common ground, although the goblins out side didn’t. the language the people used was similar to
