I think that blood is used as a metaphor for murder because it can be made as a promise that there will be death and it could be yours. I think this because blood is asosiated with death and it won’t give away who’s blood it will be.

“it will have blood they say. Blood will have blood.”:       I think that this means that murder will only bring more death/murder.

“I am in blood stepp’d so far that should I wade no move, returning were as tedious as go o-er.”:            I think that this means that he has caused so much death that he can’t move through all the blood that he has spilt that he needs to wade through it.and if he turns back now he will only need to put more work and death to go back so now there is only one option and that is forward.
